Install CruzeTVX on LG Smart TV

How to install CruzeTVX on an LG Smart TV running webOS. Stream 3000+ Indian, Pakistani and South Asian live TV channels plus 10,000+ movies and series. Step-by-step setup.

About 5 minutes · 5 steps

LG Smart TVs run webOS and use the LG Content Store for apps. CruzeTVX installs from there on supported models, so setup is a five-minute job with the Magic Remote and no sideloading. Here is the process, plus what to do if your model is too old to see the app.

What you'll need

  • An LG Smart TV running webOS (2018 models or newer recommended)
  • An internet connection — 10 Mbps or better for HD
  • An LG account signed in on the TV
  • An active CruzeTVX subscription

Step-by-step installation

  1. Step 1: Connect your LG TV to the internet

Press the Settings button on the Magic Remote, go to All Settings > Network > Wi-Fi Connection, and join your network. Ethernet is available under Wired Connection if the router is close by.

  2. Step 2: Open the LG Content Store

Press Home on the remote and select the LG Content Store from the launcher bar. Sign in with your LG account when prompted — app installs require it.

  3. Step 3: Search for the CruzeTVX app

Choose Search in the Content Store, type 'CruzeTVX' with the on-screen keyboard, and select the app from the results.

  4. Step 4: Install the app

Select Install and wait for the download to complete. When it finishes, choose Launch. The app is added to your launcher bar automatically — drag it left to keep it near the front.

  5. Step 5: Log in and start streaming

Enter your CruzeTVX account email and password. Your full channel list and on-demand library are ready straight away.

If something goes wrong

The app is not in the LG Content Store

Older webOS versions have a much smaller app catalogue. If CruzeTVX does not appear, use a Fire TV Stick or Android TV box on a spare HDMI input — both run CruzeTVX and cost far less than replacing the TV.

The app crashes on launch

Update webOS first: All Settings > General > About This TV > Software Update. If the crash continues, uninstall CruzeTVX, power-cycle the TV by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then reinstall.

Playback buffers frequently

Run the TV's network test from All Settings > Network. If speeds are low on Wi-Fi, move closer to the router or switch to a wired connection — LG TVs are noticeably more stable on Ethernet.
